Sudan – The Sudanese Armed Forces announced yesterday, Tuesday, the restoration of the headquarters of the National Radio and Television Authority in Omdurman from the control of the Rapid Support Forces, which in turn acknowledged the loss of the radio site.
The official spokesman for the armed forces said in a statement: “Your armed forces, other regular forces, and the people of our country who are working side by side with them today were able to seize the headquarters of the National Radio and Television Authority (the memory and conscience of the Sudanese nation), from the desecration of the Al-Dagalo terrorist militia and mercenaries from other countries.” .
The statement added: “Your forces dedicate this great victory to the masses of our generous, patient and patient Sudanese people.” She asked, “May God grant heaven and eternity to our righteous martyrs, and speedy recovery to the wounded and injured, and a beautiful response to the prisoners and missing persons.”
For its part, the Rapid Support Forces acknowledged the matter, and its advisor, Imran Abdullah, said: “The Rapid Support Forces thus lost the radio and did not lose the entire battle, and in return they gained their respect before the Sudanese people and the international community.”
Omran wrote on his official account on the “X” platform: “What happened today is that the army renounced its pledge to the agreed-upon Ramadan truce and betrayed the Rapid Support Forces and attacked them in the radio axis despite their prior commitment to the ceasefire.”
Omran indicated that high-level contacts took place with the Rapid Support Command in order to stop the fighting, and the leadership committed to this decision in order to create conditions for civilians to fast the holy month and to facilitate the arrival of humanitarian aid to citizens.
Sources said that the Sudanese army destroyed and took control of many vehicles in the vicinity of the radio.
The sources explained that this battle began in the morning and continues until now, and the army has made great progress in it. They expected the army to take complete control of the radio and television buildings after destroying a large Rapid Support force that was present there.
