Successful first week in the Annual Pádel at Clubsito

Actions continue at a high pace in the Annual SAMEX Open Paddle Tournament by El Clubsito, in which hundreds of local and foreign players have brought to life the first week of competition, seasoned with an attractive social program.

An unbeatable evening, full of joy, live music and raffles, entertained family company last Thursday at the sports club located at the foot of the Torreón – San Pedro highway, where the traditional “Icebreaker” was held. And more than 500 people gathered to enjoy a musical night with the Banda Rimada, while nearly 50 thousand pesos were distributed in raffles and a night of food tasting in the heart of the Pádel lagoon.

“Super happy. We had a total success at the SAMEX Open Icebreaker with an excellent turnout. All the people were very happy here with us, we had our raffles, an event with more than 500 people, raffles and a lot of fun,” mentioned Fernando Martínez Schmidt, the sports coordinator of the event. The SAMEX Open is turning out to be an unprecedented tournament in the region, since there was no record of a tournament with nearly 400 couples registered. Starting last Friday, the final phase of the tournament was launched in the Sumas, men’s and women’s categories. “This weekend we started with the finals of the Sumas, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals, with the exception of Suma 3, which we will finish next week,” Martínez added.

This Monday, the Forces categories – from first to sixth, in both branches, will take their turn to compete, and next Thursday the best padel in the country will arrive, with the Open category, which will be graced by Maxi Cejas, Matías Almada, Miky Bejarano, Josh Montoya, Max Montaño and Gianluca Reynafe, among others. “Next week we start with the Open category, a category highly anticipated by everyone. We will have Thursday, Friday and Saturday the best paddle tennis, not only in La Laguna, but in Mexico,” concluded Martínez Schmidt.
