However, recently, the Prime Minister approved a plan to swap working days so that on the holiday of April 30 – May 1, workers will have 5 consecutive days off from April 27 to May 1. Accordingly, students’ vacation and make-up schedules will also be adjusted. Students can have a holiday from April 27 to May 1.
Based on the instructions of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, for units that do not have a fixed holiday schedule every Saturday and Sunday, based on the unit’s specific program and plan to arrange a holiday schedule. appropriately, in accordance with the provisions of law.
Thus, in case middle and high school students still study half a day on Saturday (April 27), the make-up schedule will follow the specific instructions of each locality.
Swapping work and school schedules so that people can take long holidays is expected to help stimulate tourism and social consumption, promoting economic growth. At the same time, this exchange does not change the time spent working and studying.
Last year, students’ holiday schedules for April 30 and May 1 ranged from 4 to 5 days depending on each level. The elementary school level has more days off than the middle school and high school levels due to the fixed schedule of both Saturday and Sunday off.
