Jamuna Group’s lifestyle band ‘Hur’ felicitated 200 students who secured GPA-5 in SSC 2024.
The reception was given to the meritorious students at Jamuna Industrial Park in Bejura area of Madhavpur Upazila of Habiganj on Friday afternoon.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Habiganj-4 Constituency Member of Parliament Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon said that Jamuna Group’s contribution to Bangladesh’s economy is undeniable.
In the speech of the special guest, Jamuna Group Managing Director Shamim Islam said that Jamuna Group has taken the initiative to create a textile university in Habiganj for the purpose of creating modern manpower for the textile industry in Bangladesh. The university will serve as a landmark for the students of the region.
Sumaiya Rosalin Islam, director of Jamuna Group and managing director of the group’s lifestyle brand ‘Hur’, said that ‘Hur’ will open a new branch in Sylhet soon. We always have a special discount for students. Besides, I give scholarship to the sons and daughters of the employees here every year. We provide this scholarship in all the institutions of Jamuna Group. He also said that 5,000 trees were planted on World Environment Day on June 5.
At 4:30 pm, the program started with Quran recitation and Gita reading. Later, a minute’s silence was observed for the soul of late Nurul Islam, chairman of Jamuna Group.
Barrister Syed Syedul Haque Sumon, Member of Parliament, spoke as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Sumaiya Rozalin Islam. Jamuna Group Managing Director Shamim Islam and Ten Minute School CEO Ayman Sadiq spoke as special guests.
