The Program for the Promotion of Reading, of the Ministry of Education, aims to strengthen reading behavior in the educational community: students, parents, teachers and administrative staff of all modalities of education.
As part of this program, in various educational institutions in the Catamayo canton, in the province of Loja, reading spaces are strengthened with the optimization of areas within the schools for reading, known as Reading Corners.
The corners feature books that cover a wide range of genres and topics, from children’s literature to classic literary works and reference texts. Additionally, they are designed with welcoming and stimulating environments where students can enjoy reading in a recreational and educational way.
As part of this program, the Mayor’s Office of Catamayo has donated books to be distributed in establishments in the canton. (YO)
