State privatizes 108 Assets from 2019 to the first quarter of 2024

News from Angola – The Angolan state managed to privatize, from 2019 to the first quarter of 2024, around 108 assets, said the Minister of Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa.

The minister was speaking on the sidelines of the country’s macroeconomic outlook for 2024, at the Angola Economic Outlook, held on Tuesday (21), in Luanda.

According to the Minister of Finance, from 2019 to 2022, around 92 assets were privatized, while in 2023 only 11 were transferred to the private sector. Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2024, only five were privatized.

He assured that the goal is to continue the private agenda, putting in place studies for the sale of state-owned companies and state shares, intensifying the process of transferring public companies to the private sector.
