The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization, announced the start of the expression of interest phase for the project of water and sewage treatment plants in land ports to those interested in the private sector through a partnership model (design, construction, financing, operation, maintenance, and transportation), with a contract for a period of 15 years, including… That’s the construction period.

The authority explained that the project will be implemented in 10 land ports throughout Saudi Arabia, including the port of (Al-Batha, Salwa, Al-Khafji, Al-Raqi, Jdeidah Arar, Al-Haditha, Halat Ammar, Al-Durrah, Al-Wadiah, and the Empty Quarter) in order to design stations and assets, including networks, and build and expand. And restoration of stations.

It also includes expanding and renovating some networks while supervising construction activities, supervising the daily operations of stations and assets, managing network operations, recording and submitting reports related to operations, and working to ensure the provision of alternative sources for water and sewage treatment in the event of interruption.

The scope of the project’s work includes performing preventive maintenance for stations, networks and assets, cleaning civil structures and stations, providing spare parts, submitting maintenance reports and performing replacements, asset life cycle repairs, monitoring maintenance activities, and recording and submitting reports related to maintenance.

The Authority and the Center called on investors and those interested in the water and sewage treatment plants project at land ports, to view the expression of interest request document, which contains project information, by visiting the website of the National Privatization Center, as the stage of submitting expression of interest requests ends on June 30 at 3 p.m. Evening Saudi time.
