Starc said, ‘For the last nine years I have prioritized Australian cricket. I often give my body rest and my wife time. That’s why I stayed away from these crickets. My head was right there (in national team cricket) for the last nine years.’
Stark wants more time for himself. That’s why the 34-year-old left-arm pacer wants to skip one version of the game.
Starc said, ‘Look, I’m definitely at the end of my career. I might drop a version. The next (ODI) World Cup is a long way off and whether I continue with this edition…maybe it will open more doors for franchise cricket.’
Starc was bought by Kolkata for 24 crore 75 lakh Indian rupees in the recently concluded IPL. He also showed his reflection by coming at a record price. After yesterday’s match, he was asked how he enjoyed this season.
Starc replied, ‘I have enjoyed the season very much. It was great. Another advantage of this is that the tournament is held before the World Cup. Before the World Cup, I got to face all the amazing players. It’s a great thing before the World Cup.’
