Spring of the Book in the National Stadium Park

With more than thirteen years of experience in the independent and university publishing circuit, The Spring of the Book celebrates its thirteenth edition at the National Stadium Park next Friday 4, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 October. The cultural event features Free admission and is intended for all audiences and families.
This year, the traditional book fair —organized by the trade association Editoriales de Chile— debuts a New location in the National Stadium Parka space recently opened to the community, as a family meeting place and located at the entrance Steps away from the Estadio Nacional station of the Santiago Metro (Line 6).
The 13th Spring of the Book will offer, for three days, the possibility of getting to know the work of More than 210 independent and university publishersfrom different regions of Chile. Those who visit the fair will be able to find the most complete bibliodiversity of publications, with titles of narrative, poetry, children’s and young adult literature, experimental publications, philosophy, history, essays and illustrated books of national productionAnother novelty of this thirteenth edition is the resumption of the participation of foreign publishers such as Caja Negra, Cactus and Eterna Cadencia among others, who will be representing the Latin American independent publishing sector.

In parallel to the fair, The 13th Spring Book Festival will also feature a diverse programme for the whole familywith activities such as discussions with personalities from the book ecosystem, storytelling, readings and workshops for children and adolescents, illustration rounds with prominent national illustrators, among many other events that will take place throughout the weekend.

The 13th Spring of the Book will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, and from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6The event is organized by Editoriales de Chile, with the support of the Book and Reading Fund, the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage and the National Institute of Sport.
