Salzburg (OTS) – Sport is multi-dimensional and has an impact on more levels than almost any other area of society. In no other EU country does sport account for such a high share of value creation (6.8 percent of GDP) as in Austria. Nevertheless, the functions and achievements of sport are often clearly disproportionate to the recognition it receives in society. Sport Leading Certification wants to change this with its uniform sports seal of approval developed according to quality criteria.
The Sport Leading Certification is a certification for companies in the sports, tourism and leisure industries and can currently be applied for in eight categories. Since 2019, over 100 companies – including SKIDATA, SPORT 2000, Vienna City Marathon, LAOLA1 and Sporthilfe – have been successfully certified. With the help of a crowd investment, the sports seal of quality is now to be established throughout the DACH region and at the same time the necessary steps for the planned international expansion are to be taken.
