During the Disabled Persons Week in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, a special individual became a soldier for a day as a representative. Private individuals who were taken from their homes by the municipality went to Hasdal Barracks accompanied by a convoy after meeting with Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu.
At the event organized by Arnavutköy Municipality Elderly and Disabled Care Center (AYEM), special individuals living in Arnavutköy had the opportunity to fulfill their dream military service. Private individuals, who were taken from their homes in the morning, received the military bags given to them by Arnavutköy Municipality. Private individuals met with Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu and performed their representative military duty at Hasdal Barracks by forming a military convoy. Colorful images emerged at the event.
Speaking about the event, Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu said, “We are very happy to be together with our special individuals on their special day today. We are sure that they will fulfill their military duties in the most appropriate way, with the principles that are in line with our culture.
