In the city of SP it is raining with gusts of wind and is on alert for flooding
On Tuesday afternoon, for the second consecutive day, the city of Sao Paulo entered a state of alert for flooding due to rain and gusty winds (9). The warning for the entire capital was issued by the City Hall’s Climate Emergency Management Center (CGE) around 4.50pm.
Images recorded in Vale do Anhangabaú show intense wind in the central region (see video above). Rua José Paulino, in Bom Retiro, is flooded.
In the South Zone of Sao Paulo, trees fell again this Tuesday. As in the case of a tree in Rua Abílio Soares, in Paraíso, where two cars were hit.
In Moema, floods made the Alameda dos Jamaris, between Alameda Iraê and Avenida Ibirapuera, impassable.
In the East Zone, Avenida Celso Garcia was also flooded.
The automatic station of the National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) in Mirante de Santana, Northern Area of São Paulo, recorded 34.1°C this afternoon, the same value recorded on Monday (8), when heavy rain fell on the capital .
