“Soyka” praises in partnership with Morocco

The head of the European Commission in charge of the demographic and the Mediterranean affairs, Dubrafka Sweika, praised the durability of the partnership that brings together the European Union in Morocco, and described Rabat as a “primary and reliable partner” in the region, in the context of interacting with the new charter for the Mediterranean.

In a tweet published on her account with the “X” platform, after a phone call with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bouraita, Soyka confirmed that the European Union and Morocco share a unique relationship, and a joint vision aimed at deepening strategic cooperation between the two sides.

The European official said that she discussed with Burita ways to enhance Morocco’s involvement in the new charter for the Mediterranean, noting that she aspired to continue the discussions during an expected visit to the capital Rabat.

Moroccan -European relations are receiving special attention from the institutions of the Union, especially with the increasing level of political and economic coordination towards a number of regional files, which enhances Morocco’s position as a pivotal partner in its Mediterranean and African surroundings.
