Neighbors of neighborhoods in the southeast of Torreón complain about the power outages that have become repetitive in recent weeks, to the point of having up to three blackouts in a single day.
For this reason, they ask that the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) review the state of their facilities, in the same way as they have done in other sectors of the city, and if necessary, carry out the replacement of lines or equipment.
As temperatures have gradually risen, families in neighborhoods such as Valle Dorado and Fuentes del Sur have felt the effects of the blackouts, so that in the latter, on Tuesday, April 30, there were three interruptions throughout the day.
Yesterday at noon they were left without power again, so they did what they always did, contact the CFE by phone to make the corresponding report and wait for the workers to come to make the necessary repairs.
According to them, on April 15 they heard a loud roar and this was due to one of the power transformers thundering and leaving them without service, which was restored several hours later.
On the 7th of the same month they were also deprived of electricity during the day, so in this case they also requested, by telephone, the support of the so-called State productive company.
‘THEY ARE NOT NEW’
The complainants pointed out that, unfortunately, the constant blackouts are not new in these and other neighborhoods in the southeastern sector of the city, since in previous years they have already had the same problem, especially the previous one, when record temperatures that exceeded 40 were recorded. degrees Celsius.
It was during that period when the residents of La Fuente, Valle Dorado, Fuentes del Sur and even Eduardo Guerra, suffered interruptions, a problem that was registered in other areas of the city as energy consumption with air conditioning units had increased exponentially. , fans and more.
Throughout the year there are also variations in voltage, which causes failures and breakdowns in computers, refrigerators, fans and other devices, and with any presence of winds or dust devils, no matter how minimal, failures in the electricity supply are recorded, which impacts other services such as internet and water supply.
The recurrent blackouts are attributed to the poor state of the electrical installations, which no longer respond to the needs of consumers, so in addition to repairing the failures in an emergency manner, those affected ask for a greater response from the CFE.
