The new cycling year has just begun, but Soudal-Quick Step’s tasks are not finished yet. Pepijn Reinderink (21), the Dutch U23 champion, is promoted from the training squad to the WorldTour core.
Soudal – Quick Step had 10 newcomers at the team presentation last week, but the team is now full with Pepijn Reinderink.
The Dutchman played 2 seasons with the training team and impressed the coaching staff.
Reenderink became a promising Dutch champion last year and signed a professional contract for 2 years.
“It’s special to become a professional with the team I’ve always dreamed of,” he replies.
“He impressed us with his performances and his work ethic,” team manager Patrick Lefevere said.
“He can climb, he is good against the clock and he likes to attack. We believe in young riders and he is the fifth newcomer from our youth team. This shows that our project is solid.”
