Workers at the two plants learned on Tuesday that “the business has not been able to withstand the weight of energy costs” and will close on May 31.
Out of the blue padlock the are driven factories of paper mill SONOCO HELLAS SA in Thessaloniki and Kilkis. The total 85 employees were informed yesterday that the two factories will stop the mode them on May 31st.
According to voria.gr, the workers at the two units learned on Tuesday that “the business could not stand under the weight of energy cost” and was forced to download rolls.

The result is approx 30 employees in the packaging unit at Neohorouda Thessaloniki and the 55 at the factory in Stavrochori Kilkis to be out of work at the end of May.
It is noted that the company was founded the 1999 and is active in the production and processing of cardboard from recycling. Specifically, it manufactures recycled paperboard, paper roll components, paper cores and paper rolls. In Kilkis, the company’s facilities cover 5,500 sq.m.
