Specifically, Qatar National Bank in City. Ho Chi Minh City said it regularly receives many phone calls from people reporting that a group of subjects claiming to be employees of this Bank’s Representative Office asked to connect via the Zalo application on the phone, sending text messages asking for help. Offering loan support, but the purpose is to appropriate assets.
The subjects asked the borrower to deposit 30% of the loan amount to prove that the customer did not intentionally register false information and did not falsify loan documents to appropriate the Bank’s money. If the customer successfully completes the verification order, the system will disburse the loan amount and refund the deposit. However, in reality, if the customer complies with the request, the deposit amount will be appropriated.
When committing the above acts, the subjects forged the logo and seal of the Qatar National Bank Representative Office. This bank confirmed that the issued seal is completely different from the seal used by the fraudsters.
And Daegu Bank – City Branch. HCM reported that the scammers created a website called “Vietcombank affiliated with DGB Daegu Bank”, and used the “DGB” logo to send loan notices to their victims.
Then, the impersonator impersonating an employee of Daegu Bank asked these people to provide personal information and asked the victim to transfer some money in advance via the impostor’s account (QR code), or make a deposit. to get the loan disbursed, then appropriate the victim’s transferred funds.

Similarly, BPCE IOM Bank City Branch. Ho Chi Minh City (BPCE) also warned of the above tricks and made an urgent announcement on the bank’s official website to warn about some individuals or groups of people illegally exploiting BPCE’s name, logo and trademark. .
BPCE emphasized that the bank does not provide personal loan services and does not have any customer applications except the official online banking channel.
