On October 29, 2023, Chilean music lost one of its pillars, Roberto Díaz, affectionately known as Tito, the drummer of the emblematic band Sandino Rockers.

Throughout his career, Tito was not only the driving force behind Sandino Rockers, but also participated in projects such as Seña Frente Sur, Caballo Loco Anti Global Sound System, Sudaka Sound System, Gandjarvas and Les Comunés. However, it was with Sandino Rockers, since its founding in 1994, that Tito left an indelible mark by fusing Ska, Reggae and Rock with native sounds, always committed to social causes.

In memory of this great musician and in support of his family, the Ska and countercultural scene of Santiago will unite in a tribute. Recognized bands such as Sandino Rockers, Rojo Vivo, Escaso Aporte, Santo Barrio, Los Revolucionarios Evolucionarios, Monkeyman, Skaldik, Skaba, Corzario, Manifesto Ska Jazz, Chinatown Ska, La Joya, Betania López, Ywana, La New Band, Brigada de Negro and Pacto Negro, will illuminate the stage with the irresistible sounds of Jamaican and Latin origin.

The history and musical power of the Sudaka Sound System collective will also be present.

The day will begin with the emotional notes of Juanito Ayala and Rigo Rioja, who will open the event with music, memory and the constant memory of Tito. As a special part of the prelude to the concert, a documentary that recorded Tito’s wake and farewell will be shown. This moment became a social and cultural milestone, with the participation of numerous testimonies and artists who came together to say goodbye to Tito. The making of this documentary was directed by Felipe Flores. Then there will be the show with 20 live artists. A day of ska, memory and positive vibration.
