Young people from Vienna shine at the national final
Vienna (OTS) – From May 26th to 29th, 2024, eloquent young people from all over Austria and South Tyrol met at the national finals of the youth speech competition. The young speakers from Vienna impressed the jury: All six participating Viennese young people secured placements for their hometown. They achieved one first place, four second places and one third place. With their speeches, they drew attention to important issues for young people.
Deputy Mayor Christoph Wiederkehr congratulates all winners: “Congratulations to our young oratorical talents! You have impressively proven that Vienna’s young people are among the best speakers in the republic. With your outstanding performances, you have not only made yourselves proud, but also our city. You are role models and show how important it is to raise your own voice and stand up for important issues. Keep up the good work!”
After the state finals on April 24th in Vienna City Hall, eloquent young people from all over Austria and South Tyrol came together for the national finals in Vienna. The event was organized by the Federal Chancellery, Section IV Youth and Family. Wienxtra actively supported the Viennese speakers in their participation.
Vucko Schüchner, Wienxtra Managing Director is also happy for the successful speaking talents: “In the youth speech competition, young people impress with what moves them. Wienxtra supports them in this. By promoting language skills, critical thinking and self-confidence, the competition helps to empower young people and strengthen their voices.”
