Six countries in competition for the first edition

Sanya Randriamalala, Louanne Pless, Romain Gagneux and Matteo Rakotofiriga flew to Mauritius to participate in the first edition of the African Region IV Golf Junior Team Championship, which takes place in Tamarina Golf, from August 24 to 28, 2025. They will represent Madagascar during this meeting where they will have to face other young countries. A more than motivated team to tear off the victory at the end of the TEE, against the opponents of Mauritius, Reunion, Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya. Each country is represented by a team of four junior golfers, including two girls and two boys, accompanied by a team manager. This first edition promises to be exciting, because the best young golfers in East Africa compete during these 3 days. The competition takes place in teams of four players and, at the end of the day, the three best scores of each team are selected, in gross only. Individual boys and girls rankings will also be established.

Promote new talents

The Golf Africa Region IV Junior Team Championship is a new concept that aims to promote and support young Golfers of Africa IV. It takes place under the aegis of the African Golf Confederation. This tournament is thus an opportunity for young golfers of these 6 countries to show their talents, and to improve their performance. Golf being a sport that requires discipline and perseverance, it is important to set up a program that allows young people to improve continuously. The Africa Region IV Junior Team Championship is an appointment that is part of the World Ranking amateur World (WAGR). Maurice hosts this first edition, and hopes to inspire young people to learn golf. It aims to strengthen its reputation as a primary golf destination.
