Simona Postlerová died during split work: She was replaced by Gajerová!

Director Kateřina Březinová worked on the dubbing of the third series of the American historical drama, which literally captivated audiences on all continents (52) in the Lyuno studio since this spring. In the Czech version, Polly Walker (58), who portrays Portia Featherington, cast – as in the first and second series – Simona Postler. Unfortunately, she managed to dub only four episodes from the third series. “She was still in the studio on Wednesday, she died on Sunday night. We were supposed to work on other pieces on Monday,” a production source told Bleska.

Because the streaming platform Netflix announced the premiere of new episodes of the series on May 16, the director Březinová had to recast the role very quickly. “They called me to ask if I would take the role after Simonek, and I immediately agreed, because I know the difficult situation my colleagues got into. And at the same time, I wanted to finish the work for my colleague, she would definitely be happy,” Veronika Gajerová told Bleska. To this day, she still has a hard time coming to terms with the passing of her beloved friend, who was two years younger.
