Signing the minutes of a meeting to establish a wushu management committee

Benghazi, December 8, 2022 (LANA) – The headquarters of the Karate Sub-Federation hosted the minutes of the signing of a meeting to establish a management committee for the game of Wushu, headed by Mr. “Abdul Razzaq Muhammad Al-Haddad” and Mr. “Mahmoud Hassan Al-Badri” as his deputy, with the membership of Messrs. “Muhammad Abdel-Sayed Al-Shalmani” and “Muhammad Abdul Salam Al-Sawy,” “Younis Khalifa Al-Qatrani,” “Rafi Muhammad Al-Araibi,” “Ahmed Al-Amami,” and among the female members, “Saeeda Ali Abdul Karim.”

This committee was established by the clubs organizing this game in the Eastern Province after the marginalization and indifference to which this game and its athletes were subjected by the President of the Federation for this game, Mr. Bashir Al-Ardawi.

The Libyan News Agency was present for this meeting, which was held this evening, and met with the Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Wushu Sports Game, Captain Abdel-Razzaq Muhammad Al-Haddad, and he said: “We meet today to choose the Steering Committee for the Wushu Game, this sport that was marginalized and excluded by Mr. Bashir Al-Ardawi after the meeting with the clubs that fall under This game, and thanks to God Almighty, the management committee has been agreed to work and bring this game to the highest levels, and we will live up to our expectations and move forward to make this game a success locally, Arably, and internationally.”

On the other hand, a member of the management committee, Mr. Muhammad Abdel Sayed Al-Shalmani, said, “We are meeting today with the sports clubs that practice wushu to choose a management committee for this game, which was deliberately marginalized.”

Al-Shalmani added that the work of this committee will be subject to controls and laws to solve the problems that the Eastern Region suffers from in this game.

Al-Shalmani also stated that this committee will work in full swing to show this game again in sports circles after its absence for a period of four years in local, Arab, African and international participation.

Al-Shalmani added, “We will work to develop this game by holding tournaments and preparing for tournaments in the near future for the Eastern Region.” (Wal-Benghazi) MB
