Sick hockey player Hrníčko: Touching gesture of fans of the former club

At the beginning of July, cruel news came from Pardubice about the illness of forward Dominik Hrníček (28). The child of Liberec hockey has to put his beloved sport aside for some time and concentrate his energies on insidious cancer. Before heading to Dynamo, he defended the colors of Poruba from Ostrava, whose fans have now sent a message to the sick hockey player.

At the beginning of July, hockey player Dominik Hrníčko announced the sad news on his social networks. At only 28 years old, he has to fight cancer. “Thinking about whether life is fair or not is probably pointless. Obstacles are meant to be overcome,” began the pupil of Liberec.

“It wasn’t that long after I got a big one when I found out I had a broken leg. I overcame this and went back to my normal form. But now another obstacle came in the way. The heavier one. When they told me I had a tumor and had to have an operation,” said Hrníčko.

“I have another difficult task ahead of me on my journey, but I know I can handle it. I will overcome this obstacle anyway and I will be the winner! Thank you very much everyone for your support” concluded the post with an optimistic attitude of the player, who in the past played for the Liberec Tigers, Prostějov, Jihlava or Poruba.

It was from Ostrava that Dominik moved to the B team of Pardubice Dynamo. But the fans from the east of the republic did not forget him and made a banner for the sick hockey player, which they hung in the auditorium during Friday’s match of the RT TORAX Cup tournament.

By text “Pot, hold on!” they probably perfectly captured the thoughts of all the hockey fans to whom the news about Hrníček’s health had previously reached. Fans later sent a photo with the banner to the hockey forward, and he also showed it on his profile with a heart emoticon. The fans of the Ostrava team have clearly shown that when it comes to health, club affiliation goes aside.
