Shimla team champion in volleyball

Market. Shimla district has become the winner in the state level volleyball competition of International Shivratri Festival. The final match of the competition was held between the teams of Shimla and Mandi districts. In this, Shimla defeated Mandi 3-1. Earlier, in the first semi-final of the competition, Mandi defeated the Army team 2-0. In the second semi-final, Shimla defeated Una 2-0. Deputy Commissioner Market and Fair Committee Chairman Apoorva Devgan was present as the chief guest in the closing ceremony of the competition. He rewarded the winning team of the state level volleyball competition with a prize money of Rs 31,000 and the runner-up with a prize money of Rs 21,000.
Whereas in the rural category competition, winner Drang was honored with a prize money of Rs 15,000 and runner-up Balh was honored with a prize money of Rs 11,000. Officers and other employees of the department were present on this occasion. On the occasion of International Shivratri Festival, three-day wrestling competitions started on Wednesday at Paddal ground. Divisional Commissioner Rakhil Kahlon inaugurated the competition. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mandi Apoorva Devgan and Superintendent of Police Sakshi Verma were also present. 40 participants are participating in the male category under 19 years of age and 21 participants are participating in the male category under 21 years of age. Women’s open category competition was also organized on Wednesday. Whose final match will be held on March 14, while the men’s open competition will start from March 14. Famous wrestlers are participating in this competition.
