Sheinbaum warns that on June 2 Mexicans will choose between democracy or repression

On June 2, citizens will opt for a democratic government or a repressive one, said the presidential candidate for the Let’s Keep Making History coalition. Claudia Sheinbaum.

From Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapasat the start of the state campaign closures, Sheinbaum assumed that the coalition he leads represents democracy and
Xóchitl Gálvez to repression.

Recently the opposition has said that if we come to government there will be authoritarianism. Well, who has historically fought for democracy in Mexico? Us.

We have always fought for democracy, therefore, the decision is between the democracy that we represent and the authoritarianism that the PRIAN represents, because they do, and it must be said here, represent repression and corruption. “We are defining the future of the Homeland,” he pointed out.

He recalled that the 4T has always fought for democracy, in contrast to the authoritarianism and corruption that characterizes the PRIAN and its governments.

We have always fought for democracy, therefore, the decision is between the democracy that we represent and the authoritarianism that the PRIAN represents, because they do, and here it must be said, they represent repression, they represent corruption.

“We are defining the future of the country, the future of the people of Mexico and I am sure that we are going to do a great job,” she highlighted.

Sheinbaum insisted that if he wins the elections he will promote the creation of a development pole on the southern border, where locals and migrants work, and that respects the environment of the region.

WE RECOMMEND YOU: Only the 4T can guarantee social programs: Sheinbaum

Creating a development and well-being pole on the southern border, which helps, of course, the people of Chiapas, and which is also a humanitarian way of addressing migration that comes from the south, is going to do something that will change the face of Chiapas, always taking care of the environment, our jungles and always recognizing the indigenous peoples, the decision about their territories, the decision about their natural resources and about their cultures and their forms of organization,” he explained.

Later, from Mérida, where he participated in the closing of candidate Joaquín Díaz Mena’s campaign, Sheinbaum said that the majority of Mexicans want democracy, that votes should not be bought, and that the dirty war should end.

There are more of us Mexicans who do not want this purchase of votes, this purchase of wills, this way of doing politics to continue,” he stressed.
