Sheinbaum uncovers Rogelio Ramírez to continue in the Treasury

The presidential candidate of the Let’s Keep Making History coalition, Claudia Sheinbaum, announced that Rogelio Ramírez de la O, current Secretary of Finance and Public Credit, could be part of her cabinet, if she wins the elections on June 2, to lead again the country’s financial coffers.

“I said (in an interview) that he is a first-class economist, a great technician, I have not spoken with Rogelio so that this can happen, for me it would be great and also for the country where Rogelio Ramírez de la O will stay, but I have not yet had that conversation with him, but we are going to maintain the macroeconomic stability and the republican austerity that has given so many results,” he commented at a press conference.

The former president of the capital pointed out that in her cabinet there will be honest people, with conviction in the project of the so-called fourth transformation.

It is worth mentioning that Rogelio Ramírez de la O has a doctorate in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and He currently serves as head of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Mexico, since July 2021a position from which he seeks to consolidate the country project of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

When asked whether she would invite her opponents, Xóchitl Gálvez, opposition candidate, and Jorge Álvarez Máynez, standard bearer of Movimiento Ciudadano, to be part of her federal cabinet, the Morena standard bearer ruled out the possibility.

“There are two national projects and that must be clear, it is not a matter of generating agreements that have nothing to do with our project,” and added that on June 2 there are only two ways to return to the past of corruption and continuity of transformation.
