Sheinbaum says that the extinction of the PRD is due to the fact that it lost its ideology

MEXICO CITY (apro).- For the virtual president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the extinction of the PRD after the June 2 elections is due to the fact that it lost its ideology and its relationship with the people, in addition to the fact that it allied itself with bread.

The Morenista acknowledged that she was a grassroots member of that party, but clarified: “I never participated in any structure or anything, I was a university student and I was one of the affiliates.” In a conference this afternoon, she commented that when the PRD was formed in 1989 “it represented a hope and also the agglutination of many parties that then came from the left and others not so much, democratic for Mexico.”

However, he said: “That was lost little by little, the relationship with the people was lost, the most important thing; The ideology was lost, so they ended up allied with a party, the PAN, but perhaps the most important thing is that what was a party that would represent the people of Mexico was lost and the moment that is lost, everything is lost.”

He commented that “we always criticize the Pact for Mexico, we always criticize it, because there was no need to link up with the Peña government?”

Incidentally, Sheinbaum Pardo said that in Morena “we never want Morena to be a state party, nor to be… but rather to be a party that continues to represent the people of Mexico… it is very important that Morena continues with this closeness to the people and that represents the interests of the people of Mexico and that is not going to be lost.”
