Cricket Management Department Chairman Jalal Yunus confirmed the appointment of this new analyst at a function on Sunday. It is known that BCB will sign a contract with Mohsin for two years from May 1, which means till April 30, 2026. However, he worked as an analyst for the Shants in three ODIs and three T20Is on the tour of New Zealand last year. Has experience working in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Besides, Mohsin worked with the age group in Pakistan’s National High Performance Center during the 2003-04 season. Apart from this, he has also worked in Big Bash, IPL teams. The Australian last worked as an analyst for the Afghanistan national team before Bangladesh.
This Australian of Pakistani origin is expected to come to Dhaka in a few days to complete the formalities of the agreement. Regarding the contract with Mohsin, Jalal Yunus said, ‘We were positive about Mohsin. Worked with us before. The cricketers and coaching staff have given good feedback about him. So we wanted to keep him. He has been contracted for two years. Zimbabwe will start working in the series itself.
The Zimbabwean team will come to Bangladesh next Sunday. The two teams will play five T20 matches in the tour. The five-match T20 series will begin on May 3 at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. The first three matches of the series will be played in Chittagong, while the last two will be played in Mirpur.
