The Colombian singer Shakira released a new version of her classic ‘I’m here’, from the album ‘Pies descalzos’ (1995), with the Brazilian DJ Papatinho, as a prelude to the start of the ‘Women no longer cry tour’, which will start next February 11 in Rio de Janeiro.

«Hello Brazil! Here’s a little gift for you: a new version of ‘I’m here’ with Papatinho, the music that made me fall in love with your country,” the 47-year-old artist wrote in a message posted on her Instagram broadcast channel.

He added: “It’s an honor to begin my ‘Women No Longer Cry’ world tour with you in Rio in about two weeks.”

The new version of ‘I’m here’ is very different from the original, as the Brazilian DJ gave a more ‘funk’ touch to the Colombian’s acclaimed song.

The performer, who has won three Grammy Awards, will take her tour to countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Canada and the United States.

Ten days ago, Shakira arrived in Mexico because she moved there temporarily to prepare for her world tour.

According to statements by the Colombian to a Brazilian media, she made the decision to temporarily move to Mexico because it is the country in which she will have the most performances with a total of 11 concerts, seven of them in Mexico City, two in Guadalajara and two more in Monterrey.

That is why this country will be the main satellite for the rehearsals, so it will remain several weeks in Mexican lands before its first presentation in Rio de Janeiro on February 11. With EFE
