Shortcuts in Windows are a way to optimize your time and get tasks done more easily. However, some key combinations can cause problems when using your PC. And while none of them harm the device or its functioning, it is possible that the keyboard, screen or some other setting is deconfigured.

Many of these problems occur due to the incorrect execution of shortcuts and when their function is activated we do not know how to fix the situation, how to rotate the screen and flip everything, something that is not solved with the mouse or restarting the computer, but with a key combination.

When we work or study and use a web browser we have the ability to expand a window so that it takes up the entire screen, however, this causes the tools menu to be hidden and we have no way to close the window or minimize it.

This problem occurs by pressing the F11 key, which will be the same way to resolve the situation, because when you press it again the window will return to its normal appearance. If the problem persists we will have to execute the ‘Alt + F4’ command to close the window.

Language change

When you press the command “Win + Spacebar”, the computer will change the language we have configured. This can cause some problems, for example when you press some letters, its function changes because the input method is different and adapts to that language. To solve it we can press the shortcut again or go to Settings > Time and language > Language and choose the one we prefer.

Special keys

Windows has an accessibility feature for some users, which allows them to perform functions with a single keystroke. But for those who don’t need it and this option is activated by mistake, what will happen is that as you type it will open the browser, a folder or change the brightness. A mess that can be resolved by going to Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard and deactivating the Use special keys option.

This issue causes the monitor screen to change orientation, it may be upside down or facing either side. In each of these cases the solution is to press the “Ctrl + Alt + arrow keys in the desired direction”.

It is possible that, wanting to write quickly, we accidentally deactivate the laptop pad. This happens because we press the F5 key, which on most computers is what makes this feature inactive. To solve it, all we have to do is press the same button again or in some cases hold down the Fn key first and then F5.

This can be one of the most annoying problems because when you write letters they are immediately deleted, making it impossible to search for a solution on the internet. So to solve it quickly all we have to do is look for the Insert or Insert key on the keyboard.

Finally, enlarging or shrinking the screen without realizing it is possible because there is a command to do it based on our preferences. The shortcut is “Ctrl + mouse wheel up or down”.
