Serious collision between cruise ship and ferry, many people injured

The accident between a tourist boat and a ferry left a tour guide with his right arm severed and both legs broken.

On the morning of April 20, a number of tourists seriously injured in a tourist boat collision with a ferry on the Tien River are still being treated at Chau Doc General Hospital, An Giang province.

Previously, on the afternoon of April 19, a speedboat of Hang Chau Tourist Boat Company carried about 40 tourists from Phnom Penh – Cambodia to An Giang.

When approaching Thuong Phuoc border gate, Tan Chau district, An Giang province, this cruise ship collided with the Vinh Xuong ferry that was transporting passengers across the Tien River (from Dong Thap to Vinh Xuong commune, Tan Chau town). ).

The accident caused a tour guide to have his right arm severed and two legs broken. In addition, 2 foreign tourists (1 German nationality and 1 French nationality) suffered broken legs.

The cause of the accident is being investigated by Tan Chau Town Police.
