September 1, Jay Idzes Joins Indonesian National Team Squad in Saudi Arabia

Jay Idzes confirmed to join Indonesian National Team in the third round 2026 World Cup Qualification Asia zone. The certainty was obtained from the Chairman of the National Team Agency (BTN) Sumardji.

This is very encouraging news, because Jay Idzes was doubtful about appearing due to an injury when Venezia held Fiorentina to a 0-0 draw in the 2024/2025 Italian League match last weekend.

The presence of Jay Idzes certainly provides its own energy for the Garuda Squad. Moreover, the Indonesian National Team will face Saudi Arabia in the Group C phase of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian zone.

The meeting between the two teams will take place at King Abdullah Sport City, on September 6, 2024. Sumardji said the Venezia player did not go to Indonesia first to join the Indonesian National Team, but went straight to Saudi Arabia.
