Security operations are prepared for Mother’s Day in Torreón

Authorities are preparing all security and surveillance operations for Mother’s Day, so that this celebration passes without a hitch and without any incident.

During the weekly security meeting led by the mayor, Román Alberto Cepeda González, these operations were reviewed, both for the massive event that will take place in the Plaza Mayor, and for the increase in attendance at public and private pantheons,

In the Plaza Mayor, the presentation of the singer Carlos Rivera will take place starting at 6:00 p.m., with more than 80 thousand people expected to attend, a free event that the Municipality offers to mothers on their day.

The municipal president asked the security agencies and corporations to maintain operational and coordination meetings until the day of the celebration, with the objective of exchanging information that allows the implementation of an effective operation, as has happened in the previous two years of the administration.

He also requested to inform in advance about the closure of streets and the authorization of alternative routes, as well as the security measures that citizens can adopt individually.

Jorge Luis Juárez Llanas, director of Civil Protection and Firefighters, said that in conjunction with the Directorate of Public Services and other municipal agencies, the operation is maintained in the city’s cemeteries, with the objective of verifying security conditions, as well as to mark graves that could pose a risk to visitors.
