Second Presidential Debate will be interpreted in three indigenous languages

The Second Presidential Debate that can be tuned in on the national network is titled The route to the development of Mexico and will address the topics: Economic growth, employment and inflation; Infrastructure and development; Poverty and inequality, as well as Climate change and sustainable development.

Format “B” that will be applied for this debate will be distinguished by having a time pool and video-recorded citizen questions, which were collected in the 32 entities of the country and two cities in the United States (Los Angeles and Dallas) by personnel from the National Coordination of Social Communication (CNCS) of the INE.

The selected questions will be segmented into four regions: North; Bajío and West Coast; Center, as well as Southeast. In one of the blocks of each segment, questions from a specific region will be taken up.

The objective of this format is to promote an exercise of contrasting ideas between the candidates, disseminate their proposals, privilege direct citizen participation and include the regionalization of questionsin addition to knowing the development of the candidacies in the face of questions from citizens.
