The Government increased the School Aid Allowance to $70,000 and estimates that it will reach some seven million children, among whom are beneficiaries of the Universal Child Allowance, as well as dependent parents and monotributists.
This is a 311% increase in the allocation of school aid for education from initial to secondary level, a few days before the start of the school year.
According to what was stated, this benefit will reach 7.3 billion children: 3,300,000 beneficiaries of the Universal Child Allowance, 3,500,000 minors with parents in a dependency and monotax relationship, and 500,000 associated with retirees and non-contributory pensions.
School aid: what are the requirements to receive it?
According to data confirmed by the National Government, there will be approximately 3,300,000 school students who will benefit from this policy. Parents of children must meet the following conditions to request school aid for the purchase of supplies:
– Receive a Family or Universal Allowance, be monotributists or be holders of a Non-Contributory Pension.
– The applicant’s children must be between 45 days and up to 17 years old. In turn, attend an initial, primary or secondary/polymodal level institution.
– If the son or daughter has a disability “there is no age limit.”
– The Maximum Income limit of the Family Group must be $3,960,000.- (gross) and for each member of the Family Group $1,980,000.- (gross)
It is important to remember that the amount is deposited in the account of one of the parents or the guardian in charge.
When is school aid collected?
Those guardians or parents who have presented the certificate to ANSES that their children attended school during 2023 will be paid along with the usual payment schedule for the allowances. Generally, this is paid during the beginning of the school year in March.
