You probably know his face. German actor Christian Oliver, known for his roles in the films “Speed Racer” and “Saved by the Bell,” died along with his two daughters in the crash of a private plane in the Caribbean, local authorities announced.
The small car crashed into the ocean on Thursday “moments after takeoff”, near the island of Little Nevis, in the archipelago of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the police explained on social networks. “On board there were three passengers, namely: Mr. Christian Klepser (real name of the actor, ed.) (…) and his two daughters”, explains the press release.
He also starred in “Indiana Jones”
Their bodies “were recovered from the aircraft by Coast Guard personnel and later declared by a medical examiner,” police said. An autopsy is underway and an investigation has been opened. The plane left the island of Bequia at noon and, according to the police, should have headed towards Santa Lucia.
Christian Oliver was 51 years old and had numerous films and series to his credit, in Germany and Hollywood. He starred in particular in the German series “Cobra Alert” and had supporting roles in major American productions such as “Speed Racer” and “Indiana Jones and the Clock of Destiny”.
