The Turkish football club Galatasaray announced on Saturday that it had permanently purchased the contract of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea, thus blocking the way for clubs that wanted to benefit from his services.
Galatasaray confirmed, in an official statement published through its official accounts on social media, that it had concluded its contract with Ziyech for free.
The Turkish team explained that the Moroccan international will receive a net seasonal salary of 2,850,000 euros for the 2024-2025 season; in addition, according to the agreement, if the conditional extension option is exercised, he will receive a net seasonal salary of 2,850,000 euros for the 2025-2026 season.
Hakim Ziyech played 23 matches with Galatasaray last season in all competitions, during which he scored 10 goals and provided 4 assists.
It is noteworthy that Ziyech suffered last season from an injury that kept him off the field for weeks, noting that this season he was wanted by Arab and European clubs, before Galatasaray decided to sign him permanently.
