Samsung has revealed and presented the next range of Galaxy S24 series smartphones. The devices, available in one of three variants (S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra), come with a number of new features and systems, most of which revolve around artificial intelligence.
All phones have at least an FHD+ display with a speed of 120Hz, while the Ultra has a QHD+ display. The S24 has 8GB of memory, while the S24+ and Ultra have 12, and both have storage options from 128GB to 1TB, depending on the model.
The S24 has a 4000mAh battery, the S24+ has a 4900mAh battery, and the Ultra has a 5000mAh battery. All come with a range of cameras, including a 12MP selfie camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP wide camera (200MP on the Ultra), and a 10MP telephoto camera (50MP MP + 10 MP on the Ultra). Only the Ultra comes with an S-Pen stylus.
As for the new AI features, they will allow users to interpret language in real time during a phone call, improve dark camera images with the improved ProVisual engine, get instant note summaries, and some other fancy new tricks.
Prices for the S24 will reportedly start at £799/€900, while the S24+ will start at £999/€1,150 and the S24 Ultra will start at £1,249/€1,450. Technically, this means that the S24 series has a slightly lower starting price than last year’s S23 series.
Pre-orders for the phones are now open, and the aim is to launch the devices on January 31st.
