The young Samaria, Anny Gulfo, was crowned this weekend as the Evafe queen in the 2023 professional accordion category, amid the applause and joy of those attending the final of the Women’s Festival, held in the Plaza Alfonso López de Valledupar.

In the Caribbean accordion category, Evafe, Nataly Patiño, singer queen 2023, Nayeli Rodríguez, was crowned queen, and María Gunney Beltrán was exalted as an outstanding apprentice.

The new professional queen, 16-year-old Anny Gulfo, said she was happy because she fought for many years to achieve this crown, a triumph achieved with perseverance and discipline, she emphasized.

“It was a process because I was Evafe 2020 children’s queen, I aspire to be a great musician, an outstanding accordion player and to be recognized in folklore,” said the young woman.

For her part, Nataly Patiño, Caribbean queen Evafe 2023, expressed that “Grateful to God and to everyone who supported me; Evafe has meant a lot in my career because she has allowed me to make myself known and show the world that women can make music and go very far.”

It was a musical, cultural and creative spectacle that turns Valledupar into a true creative city of music as designated by UNESCO, consolidating Evafe as the second most important festival in the city, in the second half of the year.

Those attending Plaza Alfonso López also enjoyed the presentations of the queens, Aymar Silva from EREFE in Mexico and Hilary López from EDOFE in the Dominican Republic, both processes also led by the Decuplum Foundation, as well as EVAFE.

The planned concert with Ana del Castillo and Chiche Maestre, who were the guests of the queens Evafe, was postponed due to the atmospheric conditions, which dispersed the audience, but it will be rescheduled for the enjoyment of all vallenatos and as a plus it will have the presence of the current professional queen Evafe.
