SADC records growth of around 4.8 percent

News from Angola – The Southern African Development Community (SADC), recorded economic growth in 2022 of around 4.8 percent, relatively above the 4.7 in 2021, said today the President of the Council of Ministers, Teté Antonio.

The president of the SADC Council of Ministers spoke on the sidelines of the ordinary session, having mentioned the main challenges that the region faces in the adverse global context, there was notable growth.
Teté António, highlighted the reduction of Member States’ obligations, as a reflection of moderate management.

In Angola, the Summit takes place under the motto: “Human and financial capital: The main factors for sustainable industrialization in the SADC region”, for the Republic of Angola does not derive from mere chance, but rather from the main challenges and opportunities that the country intends to achieve , through the presidency’s strategy and action plan already approved, and clearly indicates what is expected of citizens, families and institutions.

Angola initially assumed the Rotating Presidency of SADC in 2002 and in 2011, it is a founding member of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and shares together with other States a series of common objectives and strategies, but not only, aiming to improve of the living conditions of the populations of all member states.

SADC includes Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
