The daily Rzeczpospolita reminded Mrsimilar incidents from the recent past, which, according to him, confirm that the biggest war is taking place at the Polish border and that Poland is part of the West’s confrontation with Russia.
“We have to take into account that this has far-reaching consequences for us, with missiles and perhaps in the future drones accidentally entering Polish airspace, which may not be the most serious at all. Everything shows that, at best, we are facing a long cold war with Russia, in which a new iron curtain will lead across our border with the Kaliningrad region and Belarus. Most likely, because of Russian imperialism and Moscow’s ambitions, we will have to live with the specter of war hanging over our part of Europe for years. The annuity of times of peace, which we enjoyed for over 30 years, is over,” the newspaper concluded.
The first consequence of this situation for Poland je sharp increase in defense spending, the decline of which cannot be expected in the coming years. “That’s why the question shouldn’t be why Poland didn’t shoot a shot that was in its area for several tens of seconds. We have to ask what can be done so that the target of such a rocket is neither today, nor tomorrow, and never in Poland,” added the Polish daily.
