Russia in conflict with the US over Ukrainian attack on Sevastopol

He Russian Ministry of Defense accused USA of being responsible for the missile attack in Sebastopolin Crimea, which resulted in the deaths of three civilians, including two minors. Russia maintains that the attack was carried out with ATACMS missiles supplied by the United States to Ukraine.

According to the Ministry’s statement, “The responsibility for this deliberate missile attack against the civilian population of Sevastopol lies first and foremost with Washington, which supplied these weapons to Ukraine, and also with the Kiev regime, from whose territory this attack was launched.”.

They also stated that «All flight missions of the American ATACMS tactical-operational missiles are designed by American specialists based on their own data from US spy satellites.» and they warned that “These actions will not go unanswered”.

The attack occurred on Sunday, when Ukrainian forces launched five missiles at Sevastopol. Sevastopol, home to the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, is a frequent target due to its strategic importance to the Russian military.

For his part, the Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvoyaievconfirmed on Telegram that “the death toll has risen to three: two children and one adult”. The Russian Defense Ministry described the attack as “a terrorist attack against civil infrastructure in Sevastopol, with American ATACMS tactical missiles loaded with racism bombs”.
