When Roman was studying at JAMU in Brno, Edita decided to live in South America, where she flew with her boyfriend at the age of 19. At that time, connecting with the world was not as easy as it is today in the age of the Internet and other communication technologies.
“It took about three to five years before we were able to call each other for the first time. It was a dial-up connection to the post office, one sentence, 12 seconds before it got there, then a grunt.” recalls Roman Vojtek, who only met his sister in person in 2001, when he flew to see her. Then the siblings visited each other more often.
Edita is currently in the Czech Republic, she flew in for 10 days not only to visit her brother and close friends, but also to present her book The day I met you.
