Former Minister of Communications, Rahajason Harry Laurent known as journalist Rolly Mercia appeared in court yesterday. He appealed to the Supreme Court to challenge the order of the first instance court which sentenced him to 30 months in prison. He and his lawyer since then, Me Eric Rafidison, came to the place. The court adjourned the case until March 15 and the request for bail was also rejected. If you remember, he was imprisoned in October 2020 after being sentenced to 44 months in prison in Antanimora prison. If we do a simple calculation, this former minister will soon be released from prison. However, he still protested the order, perhaps to get out earlier. After all, according to estimates, he may be one of those who benefited from the punishment announced by the leader last year. This can be from three to 12 months.
