Out of danger but in a serious condition, a 3-year-old girl who fell from an apartment balcony in Ialyssos is being treated at the Rhodes General Hospital.
Yesterday shortly before 6 pm, the little girl escaped her mother’s attention and under unclear circumstances found herself in the void from a height of 8.5 meters, as a result of which she was seriously injured.
Police men and an ambulance of the EKAV arrived at the scene. The 35-year-old mother was arrested for exposing a minor to danger and was subsequently released by order of the competent District Attorney of Rhodes.
The child was taken by EKAV ambulance to the hospital of Rhodes where he is being treated.
A case file has been filed against the mother, who did not pay attention to her daughter as she should have, by the Ialyssos Police Department, which is also conducting the relevant preliminary investigation.
The case file will be submitted to the Criminal Prosecution of Rhodes for further action.
