Retired Electrical Technician Taşbaşı Turned a Fan into a Portable Air Conditioner in Erzurum

Retired electrical technician Ebubekir Taşbaşı, known as the “Dadaş inventor” in Erzurum, transformed a fan into a portable air conditioner by integrating a compressor and thermostat.

Nicknamed “Dadaş inventor”, Taşbaşı, a retired electrical technician from the Provincial Police Department and father of four, is carrying out R&D studies to develop various products at his workplace in the city center.

Taşbaşı, who decided to make a portable air conditioner from the waste materials in his workplace a while ago for those who are fed up with the hot weather, placed a thermostat and compressor in the body of the fan and cooling pipes in the propeller part.

Taşbaşı, who turned a fan into a portable air conditioner with his work, told AA correspondent that he made the portable air conditioner fan for those who are overwhelmed by extremely hot weather.

Stating that he has been working with electronics for over 50 years, Taşbaşı said, “First of all, we laid a gas passage pipe behind the fan. We integrated a compressor to cool the pipes. In other words, we used refrigerator material. The coldness can be adjusted from the digital thermostat. It is also quite economical.”

Taşbaşı explained that the product he made attracted the attention of caravan users in particular.
