Rest Area Visitors Soar 300% During 2024 Homecoming Flow

JAKARTA – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk noted that a number of rest areas on the Trans Java toll road section owned by the company experienced an increase in visitors of up to 300% during the Eid 2024 homecoming flow period. Significant increases occurred at several points, such as at KM 88A Cipularang Section, KM 207A Palikanci Section, up to KM 519A Solo-Ngawi Section.

“The increase in visitors increased three to four times. In fact, the Travoy 519A Rest Area experienced an increase of up to 321% with an average of 11,571 vehicles per day,” said Main Director of PT Jasa Marga Related Business (JMRB) Denny Abdurachman in his official statement, Friday (12/4/2024).

To overcome the accumulation of vehicles in the rest area, Jasa Marga enforces opening and closing and continues to advise visitors to take turns resting for 30 minutes. “Several of our rest areas are opening and closing during this Eid 2024 homecoming,” he said.

In order to increase visitor comfort, the party has increased toilet cubicles to 599 cubicles and also added cleaning and security personnel. Denny added that Jasa Marga will implement the same thing to control the reverse flow which is predicted to start occurring on Sunday (14/4/2024).

Previously, Jasa Marga recorded as many as 1,368,243 vehicles leaving the Jabotabek area on D-7 to D-1 of Idul Fitri 1445H/2024 or on Wednesday-Tuesday, 3-9 April 2024. This figure is the cumulative figure for traffic flow (traffic). ) from the four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (direction to Merak), Ciawi GT (Puncak direction), Cikampek Utama GT (Trans Java direction), and Kalihurip Utama GT (Bandung direction).
