‘Renacer’ hits Cuban screens

SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico.- Starting this Monday, Cuban families will be able to enjoy the new soap opera Be rebornon the Cubavisión channel.

With a total of 90 chapters, written by Yoel Monzón and under the direction of Heiking Hernández, Be reborn It also has the co-direction of Jorge Molina and the general production of Legna Pérez Cruzata.

Filming of the new Cuban soap opera officially began on September 25, by the Production House.

Its 42-minute episodes will be broadcast over seven months on the flagship Cuban television channel.

To the delight of viewers, it will feature performances by Alejandro Cuervo, Raquel Rey, Giselle Sobrino, Andros Perugorría, Eilen Acosta, Daniela Valdés.

David Reyes, Ary Fonseca, Miriam Socarrás, Manolín Álvarez, among other notables of the scene, will also demonstrate their acting skills.

The plot revolves around the character of Aitana, who flees, distressed by Luis Manuel’s jealousy and prohibitions.

In his departure, he leaves behind his son Dariel, whom he intends to take with him later.

According to the screenwriter, the title is due to the fact that the protagonist has to be reborn. “Her goal is to be reborn as a woman, as a mother and even as a human being. This is necessary because she had to break with the life she was leading and that was suffocating her. “She makes this decision at a critical and unique moment, and she faces and assumes it with total courage, despite all the difficulties,” he said in an interview with official media.

“Likewise, the personal fulfillment of older adults is reflected, especially that of women, and love in the elderly. Something very interesting is that I included a character who is a television scriptwriter, through whom I express my own concerns,” said the writer.
