Are the good old football days coming back? Petr Čech (42) and Milan Baroš (42) last played together for the national team 12 years ago. Now fifteen-year-olds Damián Čech and Simon Baroš have entered the national team scene.
The young people of the Czech Republic and Baroš met at the camp of the Czech under-16 national team. “They were invited to a three-day meeting in Nymburk, which took place from August 12 to 14,” explained the team’s new coach Tomáš Kulvajt.
Catches like dad
Damián Čech (who turned 15 on June 16) catches in Fulham. “I’m glad that Damián made it to the selection and experienced the atmosphere of the national team meeting. For him, it is motivation for further work,” Petr Čech (42) responded saying that he did not want to comment on the matter any more.
After all, it was just an introductory meeting, during which the team did not play any official match. Petr also supported the significance of the event with his personal presence.
He attacks like a brother
Simon Baroš turned fifteen this year on January 10. However, he is not Milan Baroš’s son, he is his half-brother, they have a common father. He also plays in the same position as his famous predecessor: In Baník’s attack, he plays in the U17 team, so he successfully competes with boys generally a year older, which says a lot about his abilities.
