Regional Hospital of Saltos del Guairá personnel of the IPS through strategic alliance

An important step towards the integration of the health system was given this Friday in Saltos del Guairá, with the entry into force of an agreement between the Ministry of Public Health and the Social Security Institute (IPS). Thanks to this measure, the services and professionals of the IPS that previously operated in an adapted house are now transferred to the regional hospital of the city.

The decision aims to optimize the use of available resources, both human and infrastructure, in a historically relegated department in health matters such as Canindeyú. With this operational fusion, IPS insured and patients without coverage will have access to reinforced medical care, in the same space and under the same coordination system.

“The IPS is incorporated into the Regional Hospital, not only using its structure, but also adding doctors and specialists to the existing team. It is a direct benefit for all citizens,” he explained.

Experience will serve as a pilot plan and its impact will be evaluated in the coming months. Meanwhile, the measure seeks to temporarily alleviate the limitations of the local health network, waiting for the construction of the future IPS hospital in Saltos del Guairá, whose tender is already underway.

From the pension, it is guaranteed that there will be no cuts or deterioration in care for the insured, and that patients without coverage will continue to be assisted without discrimination. On the contrary, a general improvement in the quality of the health service is expected.

In an area that drags years of claims for greater investment in health, the initiative is received with expectation. The community expects this cooperation to mark the beginning of a deeper and sustained transformation of the Medical Care System in Canindeyú.
